LOS ANGELES, CA – Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors approved a $215,000.00 settlement for firm client in a Civil Rights case. The Plaintiff was represented by Attorneys Robert Kashfian and Ryan Kashfian of Kashfian & Kashfian LLP. The Plaintiff was allegedly beaten by multiple Los Angeles County Sheriff Deputies, using excessive force, leading to substantial injuries while as an inmate in Los Angeles County Men’s Central Jail. The Deputies contended that the force used was reasonable and in response to resistance. After intense litigation, and due to the risks involved, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisor’s adopted the Claims Board recommendation to authorize the settlement of $215,000 and instruct the Auditor-Controller to draw a warrant to implement this settlement from the Sheriff’s Department’s budget.
