Ryan D. Kashfian
A founding Partner of Kashfian & Kashfian, LLP, Attorney Ryan D. Kashfian’s depth of knowledge, legal skills, in concert with his analytical adeptness and brilliance in and outside of the courtroom, has individual clients, attorneys and small to large corporations seeking his counsel about virtually any legal issue brought to fore. Mr. Kashfian, along with his twin brother Robert Kashfian, decided to create Kashfian & Kashfian, LLP as a conduit for clients to seek immediate, precise and expert counsel on demand, and then engage the matter aggressively and effectively. Mr. Kashfian provides clients expert counsel in the areas of Intellectual Property, Appellate Law & Practice, General Contract Disputes, Litigation and Real Estate. Mr. Kashfian has handled a wide variety of high profile cases in California State court, and as well as in United States Federal Court in the areas of Trademark and Copyright. Mr. Kashfian’s clients include international celebrities, large corporations, athletes and tv personalities.
Mr. Kashfian is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, all state courts in California and the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. Mr. Kashfian is also a Registered Patent Attorney with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Mr. Kashfian received both his bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Southern California’s prestigious Viterbi School of Engineering. During that time, he worked as a researcher at the USC Brain Project, Information Sciences Institute, and Institute for Creative Technologies, assisting in various projects including: the construction of a protocol that dictated the types of gesturers and politeness strategies that a computer animation should use when teaching a foreign language, as well as developing a computer program that analyzed human speech patterns to uncover the underlying psychological state of the human subject. Mr. Kashfian also conducted research at the X-Ray Crystallography & Computational Biology Lab at the University of Southern California.
After gathering the requisite knowledge required for detailed qualitative and quantitative research models with their applications, Mr. Kashfian decided to put into his technical knowledge and background to use and make a real impact in the lives of individuals. He attended Loyola Law School Los Angeles, and graduated with a Juris Doctor degree in the top 20% of his class. While in law school, Mr. Kashfian participated in Loyola Law School’s Giles Sutherland Moot Court team and advanced to the regional semi-finals. Furthermore, he clerked at various law firms in the Los Angeles Area.
He was also an extern at the California Court of Appeals, Second District, preparing bench memorandums for several civil and criminal appellate cases which were turned into unpublished opinions. He was also the recipient of the First Honors Award in Remedies (Highest Grade in Remedies). Mr. Kashfian is also currently an active member of the National Association of Patent Practitioners.
Mr. Kashfian is recognized as a highly skilled and effective litigator, providing his clients with the highest level of representation and counsel.
Born in Orlando, Florida, Mr. Kashfian is fluent in Farsi. Mr. Kashfian is also the joint-holder of two issued United States Patents and two pending patent applications for sign displays and their apparatus. He lives in the Greater Los Angeles Area. Mr. Kashfian is the Hiring Partner of Kashfian & Kashfian, LLP and also oversees the Century City Office, the principal office of the firm.
